The influence of Drew's grandfather, Jack McEachern, an influential Union fisherman and pioneer in aluminum boatbuilding in the 1960s and 70s, shaped Drew’s passion for the industry. Starting commercial fishing at the age of 13 alongside his grandfather, he later transitioned to salmon guiding and ventured into logging before enrolling in welding school at 25.


Marty's father, Tim Campbell, the founder of Marine Link Transportation and Campbell River Marine Terminal, nurtured this love for the ocean from an early age.
